Not this weekend....

...the Dr. said. We didn't expect it to be this weekend anyway. That's ok, I have floors to wash and toilets to scrub first. However, she did state that if he wasn't here by the week of the 8th, then we'd induce the week of the 15th. I really don't think we'll go that long though.

My feet...

...are bloated. I mean that they look like personal floatation devices. They look like giant puffy pillows. If I lift my toes up, they looked like little Noah did when he was a few months old, like my little sausage casings are going to split at any moment. I mean, it's a miracle and all...but hell.....

Nursery

Well the nursery isn't done per se...but aunt Heidi did come out to help Scott paint the walls a lovely shade of light gray/teal and set up the crib. Now I just have a million other things to do to get it ready...I have a feeling it won't be ready in time (not that Grayden cares, but his crazy mama will).

Baby Shower

We had a lovely baby shower April 26th. We actually woke up to snow that day, everything was completely white, I thought the day was going to be a disaster. But in typical Minnesota fashion, the sun came out quickly and melted all the snow leaving behind a very nice day. It was a large turnout, it was so nice to have to many people there supporting us. Played games, ate great food, had cake, opened presents, what could be better? Thanks to everyone who gave us such nice, and very needed things....I suppose you've all earned the right to come and don the child with praise and admiration.....

Dr. Visit

No progress on the latest Dr. visit of May 20th. But that's OK. I keep saying that I have so much to do and he can stay in there for another 2 months for all I care. I'm only 37 weeks, but the Dr. said he could come at any time without any problems. So we'll just have to wait and see how eager he is to come into this world.

Almost there

On May 13th we went to the Dr. No dilation yet, but 50% effaced. The Dr. was really happy with that. Said I am doing well for a Primigravida. Ok, maybe she didn't call me that specifically. But she was still happy.

Primigravidas

That is what I want to be called now. It means, A woman who is pregnant for the first time. How terribly official sounding. I like it.

Heads Up!

Well, Heads down actually. We went to the doctor last night and she confirmed that Grayden has moved into the heads down position. For those of you who are not quite sure why that's important, it means that he has turned down to position himself to make an entrance into this world. And also an easier delivery for his mother. As long as he doesn't decide to flip at the last moment, we should be ok. If he only knew what was to come, he might end up changing his mind after all.
